Brewery Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo

An example of the possibilities of the Brouwer Power Solutions can be seen in the modification and extension of a brewery in Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo. The existing emergency power plant of 3 diesel-generatorsets, with a total of 3.500 kVA, has been extended with a 4th generatorset of 1.500 kVA and a medium voltage transformator of 3.000 kVA, to achieve an emergency supply for a prime power of totally 5.000 kVA. Also a new low voltage distribution board was built and delivered and the existing medium voltage plant has been extended with an extra feeding unit. The synchronizing and parallel services between the existing and new busbars have been modified and the system had exceptional loadsharing functionality. By providing a soft start function at the transformers, the making peek was reduced with a factor 9. Finally a complete new alarm, control- and monitoring system has been installed for remote monitoring possibilities. The complete system has been build in standard 40 ft. containers.
