In 2019 Piet Brouwer Power Solutions received the assignment to provide a power upgrade for the Heineken brewery in Lae, Papua New Guinea’s second city. The extension required the use of three CAT generators: two type 3512Bs and one type C32, both supplied by Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology partner Visserij Coöperatie Urk. A close cooperation with a local company was entered into for the installation activities.
Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology project manager Klaas Wakker travelled to Papua New Guinea earlier this year to inspect the work. After carrying out the requaired tests and controls, Wakker concluded that the installation had been successfully completed and delivered to the full satisfaction of all parties.
