Last year, Damen Shipyards in Den Helder (NL) delivered two Fast Crew suppliers of the Twin Axe 2008 model. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology was responsible for the complete electrical installation in both of these vessels. Another two new Twin Axe 2008 vessels under currently construction for which Piet Brouwer is also developing the electrical installations.
The Twin Axe design was launched in June 2011 as a further development of Damen Shipyards’ hugely successful Sea Axe concept. The Twin Axe 2008 has a length of 20 metres and is built in aluminium. Thanks to its unique hull shape the vessel offers excellent seaworthiness, and is able to comfortably transport crew and passengers to their destination at full speed (26 knots) in even the roughest conditions.
