Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology is involved in the extension of the ferry ‘Noord-Nederland’ from Rederij Doeksen by Damen Shiprepair Harlingen. Noord-Nederland will be cut in two and extended with a complete section of 20 metres, resulting in a total length of 65.60 metres. The ferry will also be equipped with a new propulsion set-up, rudders and an extra bowthruster. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology will disassemble, extend and reconnect the current cables, and supply a new generator unit, frequency converter, cable conduits and fixtures.
