The main switchboardof the 42m motoryacht Berzinc was recently adapted and fitted with a new power management system. The brief was to ‘keep it simple’. As the electric sternthruster had been removed from the yacht, it was possible to considerably simplify the switchboard. Additionally, the power management system could be reduced to the most essential functions, making it more user-friendly as well as easier to maintain, and ensuring that the chance of failure is negligible. All in all, this impressive adaptation by the engineers of Piet Brouwer Elektrotechniek has enhanced the system’s reliability and, therefore, the overall safety onboard.
