Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology successfully completed work on the 33-metre sailing yacht Missy by Vitters Shipyard in the summer of 2016. The company took care of the entire electrical system, which was designed and built in close consultation with the project team at Vitters Shipyard. Piet Brouwer subsidiary Marble Automation fitted the alarm and monitoring system, which was programmed in-house.
The yacht, designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, was built as a performance cruising yacht and is equally ideal for comfortable cruising as she is racing. To enhance her speed, the yacht was given a hull in lightweight carbon fibre composite built by Green Marine, a subsidiary of Vitters in Southampton. When bating to windward and in shallower waters, she can pull up her keel.
