MV Aasfoss was delivered by Royal Bodewes to the Norwegian company Aasen Shipping in 2022. A step forward in the electrification of cargo vessels, the 120-metre vessel includes a 560 kWh battery set and an electric deck crane. The batteries allow Aasfoss to enter the port emission-free and, combined with shore power, unload fully electrically without using the generators. In addition to the standard installation, Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology realised the integration of the hybrid system, switchboards, wheelhouse console and 450 kW bowthruster engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
