This is the first time Drettmann Yachts has commissioned a project in the Netherlands. The yacht is being built for a German owner who will be closely involved in the entire construction.<\/p>\n<p>The explorer yacht was designed by Drettmann Yachts and Focus Yacht Design. A unique feature is her diesel-electric POD drive propulsion system, which allows for a top speed of thirteen knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.<\/p>\n<p>Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology was commissioned by Drettmann and Acico Yachts to design and build the entire electrical system and various alert systems.
