June 20th 2016:<\/strong> Lubbert Kramer first came into contact with Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology almost twenty years ago. At the time he was employed in the fishing industry, which was in decline. Lubbert was invited to become Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology\u2019s stock manager, something he continues to do with great pleasure to this very day. He worked in the old harbour building until Piet Brouwer Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology moved to a bigger location in an industrial estate on the Marsdiep in 2001. The inventory grew in order to continue offering flexibility and quick delivery times.<\/p>\n

\"\"As purchaser\/warehouse manager, Lubbert and his two colleagues ensure that stocks at all Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology branches are at optimum levels, so that mechanics and clients are not disappointed when they come in for parts and equipment. \u201cWe purchase materials for all of our projects and branches, and make them available or send them where they are needed. We also order and deliver materials for other companies\u2019 technical services. We have regular meetings with representatives and suppliers to stay informed about their product offerings and new equipment on the market. All in all, it\u2019s quite a varied job. No two workdays are the same, so boredom is not a problem. It\u2019s always a challenge to deliver the products ordered by clients or colleagues as quickly as possible.\u201d <\/p>\n

When asked which Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology project has been most memorable throughout the years, Lubbert\u2019s answer is that, actually, all projects are special because no two are alike. \u201cHowever, the recently delivered ship \u2018Acta Orion\u2019 was a highlight. It was a very big project for us and it needed to be delivered in a short time frame. We used lots of new materials, which meant that the warehouse team had to research where they could be purchased. We had so many people working on the project that we also had to organise extra tools at short notice. A satisfying challenge! Everything worked out fine in the end and Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology was able to deliver another fine project.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lubbert describes Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology as flexible, driven and client-oriented. \u201cBecause we now have three branches in the Netherlands, we\u2019ve become even more flexible.
